Ali Khan remembers the day he opened his operating loan with RBC back in 1994.

"I had five dollars in one pocket and an approved business loan for fifty-thousand dollars in the other" he recalls with a smile, "And just look where I am today."

Ali may have come from humble beginnings but he quickly turned his fifty-thousand dollar investment into a million dollar manufacturing company - K.K. Plastic.

If you've ever bought a piece of jewelry, cosmetics or a pair of sunglasses, you've likely seen Ali's work. From his Montreal manufacturing facility, Ali supplies clients across North America with plastic and acrylic display stands.

"It wasn't always easy, especially in the beginning," Ali explains. "Starting out, I needed a mix of expertise, business planning, financial forecasting, credit expertise and, at the crux of my business, an Account Manager who understood manufacturing."
