Opening an RSP with RBC Royal Bank is easy.
To be eligible for a Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) you must meet criteria as defined by the Government of Canada. If you would like to know if you are eligible to invest in an RSP please call 1-800-ROYAL® 1-1 or visit the Canada Revenue Agency Web site.
How to open an RSP
Existing RBC Royal Bank clients:
An existing client has another product or service with RBC Royal Bank. Other products may include one of our Visa* cards, Chequing or Savings accounts, Mortgages, or loans.
Existing clients can open an RSP by calling 1-800-ROYAL® 1-1 and selecting the Investments option to talk with one of our investment representatives. Our investment representatives are able to open an RSP over the phone and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Alternatively, you can visit your local branch, please call your branch ahead of time to make an appointment.
New clients to RBC Royal Bank:
Please contact your local branch or call 1-800-ROYAL® 1-1 to book your appointment with one of our investment representatives. When calling please select the option for booking an appointment and ask about what information you will require for your appointment.
