What to Expect When Crossing the Border

It's always a good idea to carry a passport, as well as your birth certificate, Canadian citizenship certificate or landed immigrant card. Also remember to photocopy important documents. Leave one copy at home and take another one with you. If your cards and documents are lost or stolen, it will be easier to replace them.

Be sure you know how much you are allowed to take into and out of a country. This applies to general goods, gifts, alcohol and tobacco, food and cash.

And finally, have a wonderful time!
