Investing in entrepreneurial success
Women entreprenuers are an integral part of the Canadian economy aacounting for almost one third of the total self-employed population. That's more than 950,000 self-employed women and approximately 17% of small businesses are major owned by the women Canada. RBC has a lomg-standing involvement with women entreprenuers and is committed to supporting the success of women business owners.
For more than 10 years, RBC has been focused on serving the women's market. We understand that women look to their bank for more that just financing. They are looking for advice, information and networks that will help them start and grow their businesses. They want a banking partner who recognizes there's more to building a successful business than money. That's why we are working constantly to identify and develop new ways to help women business owners compete and become more successful by sharing our resources and expertise through this site, our Advice Center and extensive branch network.
At RBC, we also recognize that women business owners have a strong entrepreneurial vision, a relentless passion in pursing their dreams and are positive role models for young women. Through the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneurs Awards (CWEA), RBC and the Women of Influence provide national recognition annually to Canada's women entrepreneurs, whose successful businesses and achievements continue to make increasing contributions to the local, Canadian or global economy.
