What is an Identification Word?
An Identification Word, known only to you, is one security measure in place to protect your information from unauthorized users. Your Identification Word is not case sensitive, however, it is recommended to utilize upper and lower case letters where possible. You can select one by calling 1-800 ROYAL® 1-2 (1-800-769-2512); you may have already selected it on your RBC Royal Bank Visa application. For more information, click here.

If I'm a co-applicant on the account, do I use the primary cardholder's Identification Word?
No. The Identification Word is unique to each user. Co-applicants must enter their own Visa card number, the primary cardholder's birthdate, then their own Identification Word. You can select your own Identification Word by calling 1-800 ROYAL® 1-2 (1-800-769-2512). For more information, click here.

Which transactions can I view?
You will see a listing of all the transactions from your last statement, then any transactions posted to your account since then -- the entire listing having a limit of 2,000 transactions.

What accounts can I access?
You can view any of your personal Visa* accounts. In addition, RBC Royal Bank® Visa* CreditLine for Small Business™ (CLSB) cardholders will also have access.

Can I download statement information?
Not at the present time.

Can I access my other bank accounts with Visa Inquiry?
No. Visa Inquiry is for Visa statement inquiries only. For bank account inquiries, you may use: Online Banking or Telephone Banking.

Can I pay bills or transfer funds with Visa Inquiry?
No. Visa Inquiry is for Visa statement inquiries only. For banking transactions, you may use: Online Banking or Telephone Banking.

Will I still receive statements or bankbook updates?
Yes.
