Our Partner - Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society

The Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society was founded in 1969 and began as a non-profit voluntary service organisation. The original members shared a common vision – to bring a message of hope to cancer survivors, provide screening at reduced costs and promote awareness to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.

“To create and promote greater awareness of the need for early detection and preventative measures and to reduce the incidence of cancer through education, service and advocacy.”

The screening services and examinations offered by the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society through their clinic are varied. The Society also operates a mobile unit which companies can reserve for the benefit of their staff. There is also a communications arm of the Society, supported by volunteers, that educates the public on prevention, early detection and treatment.
The Society facilitates a support group where survivors can share their experiences, strengths and hopes; private psychological counselling is also provided to clients, patients, survivors and their families.
