Roytrin Mutual Funds are open-ended funds specially designed by RBC Royal Bank as investment vehicles, to offer individual and institutional investors the opportunity to invest in professionally managed portfolios.
The Roytrin Family of Mutual Funds consists of Money Market Funds, Income Funds, Income and Growth Funds, and High Yield Funds.
Many of the funds can be opened with as little as TT$500.00 or US$100.00 with subsequent contributions as low as TT$100.00 or US$25.00 making it affordable to almost everyone.

How is the return on the funds calculated?
- Capital gains arise from the difference in the Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit at the time of purchase and the NAV at the time of redemption of units invested in the fund.
- Distribution of Income - All distributions will, in the absence of instructions from the investor to the contrary, be reinvested in additional units of the fund.
It is the combined effect of these two factors that enable the computation of an investor's overall return.
Is there any load charge on the Roytrin Family of Mutual Funds?
The Roytrin Mutual Funds do not carry any load charge. This is unlike other mutual funds in the market which carry front end or back end load charges.
Can I use my investment in Roytrin as Collateral Security for borrowing facilities?
Yes, a lien can be placed on an investor's mutual funds. The amount which can be applied differs based on the fund type as follows:
- Money Market Funds - 90%
- Income Funds - 80%
- High Yield Funds - 80%
- Income & Growth Funds – 66.67%
