Interac Flash is a quick and easy way to pay for small everyday purchases quickly and securely without having to swipe or insert your Client Card. This feature is included on your RBC Royal Bank Client Card for no added fee.

 

Where Can You Use Interac Flash?
You can use Interac Flash to pay for up to $100 per transaction for gas, groceries or other purchases at a variety of retailers (opens external website in new window).

Chip TechnologyWhat Is Chip Technology and Chip Client Card?
Your RBC Chip Client Card contains an embedded microchip that is encrypted and virtually impossible to replicate. This provides significant protection against card counterfeiting and fraud. The chip on your card works together with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) at chip-enabled terminals to ensure a highly secure transaction.

 

Where Can You Use chip Client Card?
When you can make a transaction at any chip-enabled terminal with your RBC chip Client Card, you're in control. The process is quick and easy and your card should never leave your sight. Note: If the store or restaurant does not yet have a chip-enabled terminal, your card will be swiped and you will enter your PIN as you do today.

 

Can You Use Interac Flash on your mobile phone?
Now you can make contactless debit payments using an eligible smartphone1. RBC Wallet Powered by RBC Secure Cloud™ lets you store a mobile version of your RBC Client Card on your phone so you can make debit payments at any merchant that accepts Interac Flash.

How to Use a Chip Client Card
