How to Send an Interac e-Transfer using RBC® Online Banking

You are on: Choose your account and the dollar amount

  1. From your Accounts Summary page, the Quick Payments & Transfers box, select the account you want to send money from.

  2. Choose INTERAC e-Transfer in the To drop down menu.

  3. Enter the dollar amount you want to send in the Amount field.

  4. Click Submit.

You are on: Review and accept the terms and conditions

  1. Review the Interac e-Transfer Service instructions and terms and conditions.

  2. Click Continue.

You are on: Enter the recipient's information

  1. Enter the name and email address for the person you are sending money to.

  2. Choose a Preferred Language to send their email notification in English or French.

  3. Enter a security question that the recipient will know the answer to, as well as the security answer he or she must provide to receive and deposit the money.

  4. Click Continue after completing all required fields.

You are on: Confirm and send the Interac e-Transfer

  1. Review all of the transaction details to ensure they are correct and then click Confirm to send the Interac e-Transfer.

Note: The funds will be withdrawn from your account immediately.

You are on: Print the confirmation page (optional)

  1. If you wish, print a copy of your payment confirmation.
