RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Seminars
RBC Royal Bank offers a free seminar kit designed to help you provide senior students with some clear direction on the path to financial literacy. It is divided into two parts.
- Seminar 1 is an examination of the student's immediate career choices through the use of a career search survey, résumé fine-tuning, assessment of post-secondary options, and budgeting for life after high school.
- Seminar 2 involves budgeting and financial planning for post-secondary education. In the previous session students set tentative career goals. This section examines the costs associated with achieving career and education goals. It also looks at budgeting and sources of funding.
The seminar packages -- available as overhead transparencies or CD-ROMs -- include scripts, presentation slides and masters of student worksheets. The CD-ROMs are yours to keep. The overhead packages are loaned to you and must be returned after use.
