Mobile Cheque Deposit

With the RBC® Mobile and RBC Canada® app you can deposit a cheque as soon as you receive it, without the need to go out to an ATM or branch. Simply take a picture of your cheque using your mobile device and it will be safely deposited into your account.

 

Here’s how it works

  • RBC Mobile1 App
    (for Android Devices)

    Sign into RBC Mobile and Select the Menu button in the top left-hand corner. Select “Deposit Cheque”.
  • 2
    Take a picture of the front and back of your cheque.
  • 3
    Select the account you want to deposit the funds to and enter the amount.
  • 4
    Review the cheque details and select “Deposit Now”.
  • 5
    Congratulations! Your cheque has been deposited6 through RBC Mobile.

    Be sure to hold onto the cheque for five business days to allow it to clear and then you can destroy it.

Getting Started

To deposit a cheque using your mobile device, you’ll need:

  • The latest version of RBC Mobile or RBC Canada
  • An eligible Personal / Business banking or savings account
  • An Android or iOS mobile device
