Step 1:
Sign in to RBC Royal Bank Online Banking. Under the Banking tab, click on “Pay Bills & Transfer Funds”

Step 2:
Enter the amount you want to send and the email address of the recipient. Set up a security question that you and the recipient will agree on and follow the simple instructions to send money.

Step 3:
Once you’ve confirmed the details, the recipient will receive an email notification which includes a link and instructions explaining how to deposit the transfer to their bank account.

† $1.00 fee is charged to the sender for each Interac e-Transfer. Other financial institutions may charge a fee to receive an Interac e-Transfer. RBC Signature No Limit Banking® and RBC VIP Banking® include 2 free transfers per monthly statement cycle. Free transfers are not cumulative and cannot be carried over to the next monthly cycle or calendar year. Interac e-Transfer may only be sent to persons who have a personal Canadian bank account. Recipients not yet banking online or at a participating institution can still receive an Interac e-Transfer. The transfer is generally deposited into the recipient's account within 3-5 business days and a $4.00 handling fee will be deducted from the transfer amount.
