Want to send money to your child, landlord, co-worker or a friend? If you use RBC® Online Banking(1) or the RBC® Mobile(1) app – and your recipient has a bank account at a Canadian financial institution – you can do this by using Interac‡ e-Transfer.
It's easier than cheques, more secure than cash, and costs less than bank drafts. No need for stamps, envelopes or mailboxes. Plus you can send up to $10,000 CAD per day.2
Sending an Interac e-Transfer is FREE for all RBC personal chequing accounts. A service fee of $1.00 may apply to personal savings accounts, and a fee of $1.50 for all Small Business accounts. This fee is non-refundable. Receiving and depositing a transfer using RBC Online Banking or the RBC Mobile app is free. And you can see current and past transfers via the "Payment History" link found within Pay Bills & Transfer Funds in RBC Online Banking or through the "History" tab on the RBC Mobile app at any time.
