How to Qualify

Qualifications for New Clients:

To qualify for this Promotional Offer, new clients to Royal Bank who do not have an existing deposit account, must open either the RBC Signature No Limit Banking™ or RBC VIP Banking^® account during the Promotional Period.

Additionally, the following steps must be completed by October 31, 2008 to qualify:

** If you do not have an automated payroll or pension direct deposit, you can, instead of completing step 3, apply and qualify for an eligible RBC Rewards^® Visa card and open an eligible Royal Bank investment with a minimum value of $2,500. If you already have an active eligible RBC Rewards^® or RBC Specialty Rewards Visa card¹ in good standing and an eligible Royal Bank investment² with a minimum value of $2500, you may also qualify for the Promotional Offer if you do not have an automated payroll or pension direct deposit.

¹ Eligible RBC Rewards Visa cards means: Visa Infinite Avion. Qualifications for Existing Royal Bank clients:

• Existing clients who held an RBC Day to Day Banking and RBC No Limit Banking account at the start of the Promotional Period may qualify by upgrading to either an RBC Signature No Limit or RBC VIP Banking account during the Promotional Period and then completing steps 2 – 5 above by October 31, 2008.
• Existing clients who held an RBC Signature No Limit Banking account at the start of the Promotional Period may qualify by upgrading to an RBC VIP Banking account during the Promotional Period and then completing steps 2 – 5 above by October 31, 2008.
• Existing clients who held an RBC savings account at the start of the Promotional Period may qualify by opening either the RBC Signature No Limit Banking account or RBC VIP Banking account between May 1 – September 12, 2008 and then completing the above steps by October 31, 2008.

1. Once you have opened an RBC Signature No Limit Banking or RBC VIP Banking account and met all the requirements outlined in section 1 above, you will receive a notification, via mail, at the address we have for you in our files. If you change your address after you open your account, please notify us immediately.
2. Your notification letter will direct you to log in to a secure website and enter the unique PIN contained in your letter. Here you will confirm your personal information, shipping address and preferred language (English or French only) for the Eee PC. (Please be advised that the French Eee PC will be available starting August 15, 2008 and shipping will begin after that date if you select French as your preferred language). You will also receive the shipping company's tracking code when you provide us with your email address so you can log into the shipping company's online tracking system to determine when your Eee PC will arrive.
3. IMPORTANT: You must confirm your shipping address and language choice online no later than December 31, 2008 or you will not receive the Eee PC.
4. The Eee PC will be sent via courier or registered mail to the Canadian address provided. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery after you have confirmed your address and language choice online using your unique pin number.
5. You have seven (7) days to notify RBC Royal Bank of any damage or any missing part of the PC.

1. This promotional offer only applies to personal RBC Signature No Limit Banking and RBC VIP Banking accounts only and not to business banking accounts. It cannot be combined with any other offer. This is a limited time offer while quantities last.
2. Limit 1 (one) Eee PC per client and/or per account. Eee PC will be sent to the Primary account holder only. Joint accounts are eligible for only 1 (one) Eee PC and the criteria must be completed under the primary account holder's name.
   
   For Joint accounts where one account holder is a new client and the other is an existing client, the new client must be the primary account holder and must complete all qualification criteria required for New Clients in order to receive the offer.
3. RBC Signature No Limit Banking and RBC VIP Banking account holders must be legal residents of Canada and have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside on or before the start of the Promotional Period.
4. This offer is not open to RBC employees. RBC employees may be the secondary client on a joint account with a new client who otherwise qualifies for the Promotional Offer; however, an RBC employee will not be eligible to receive the Eee PC.
5. RBC Signature No Limit Banking account or RBC VIP Banking account, Royal Bank investment and RBC Rewards Visa card, if applicable, must remain open and active (at least one transaction per calendar month) up to December 31, 2008.

Royal Bank and the independent promotional organization shall not bear liability or responsibility arising from or in any way relating to the Promotional Offer, including, without limitation, termination of the Promotional Offer or for any damage to computer equipment, systems, software or any combination thereof, as a result of participation in this Promotion Offer.
2. Should the Promotional Offer not be capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited too, unavailability of promotional products, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Royal Bank which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Promotional Offer, Royal Bank reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without prior notice, terminate or suspend the Promotional Offer, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
3. Royal Bank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions of the Promotion from time to time without prior notice. In the event of conflict, these terms and conditions shall prevail over any of the contents of any brochure or other promotional materials advertising this Promotional Offer.
4. Royal Bank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke this Promotional Offer to any person or account holder it finds or believes to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, integrity or operation of the Promotion.
