Quickly Transfer Funds to Another RBC Royal Bank Client

If you are an RBC Online Banking client (either personal or business), you can take advantage of our fast and convenient online third-party payment service to deposit funds directly into the accounts of other RBC Royal Bank clients. For example, send your daughter money or pay wages to your employees.

Third-party payments are easy to do. Simply have the recipient's name, branch number and account number handy — all of which can be retrieved from a voided cheque. In addition, transferred funds are immediately deposited into the recipient's account.

There are no additional transaction fees that apply to using third-party payments, other than those fees that are applicable under your bank account or package for third-party payments made through Online Banking. While we make every effort to provide you with a secure Online Banking experience, you should regularly review the safe computing practices by visiting our Security Website to ensure you are taking measures to keep your computer safe.

How do I arrange for a third-party payment?

  • Use the "Pay Bills & Transfer Funds" option in Online Banking, and select "Other Royal Bank Customer" under "To:". (You can also set up other Royal Bank customers as "Payees" on the Payment screen to streamline the process for the future.)
