Eligibility:

Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status

Proof of full-time enrolment in a Medical or Dental program for the 2009-2010 academic year
-
Grade point average for 2008/2009 academic year
Employees, directors, and officers of Royal Bank and its subsidiaries and its scholarship administration agencies and those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible for the RBC Royal Bank Scholarship for Medical & Dental Students.

How to Apply:
Applying is easy. All you have to do is complete and submit an online application form.
The application itself is divided into three sections:
Contact & School Details

Provide basic contact details, including your e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, etc.

Provide information on your past undergraduate or graduate school, as well as details on the medical or dental school are currently attending.
Volunteering & Employment
-
Provide information on your volunteer activities, as well as paid employment and unpaid internships, if applicable.
Essay Questions
-
Detail a community or environmental based cause you are passionate about and how you would mobilize others to be just as passionate for your cause.
Application Scoring
The scoring percentage breakdown for individual applications is as follows:

Academic Achievement: 10% of total score

Extracurricular Activity: 35% of total score
-
Essay Answers: 55% of total score
