Eligibility & How to Apply

Is this the right scholarship for you?

Eligibility:

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
• Be accepted into the first year of a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada for the 2008/2009 academic year
• Be a full-time student studying to become an accredited medical doctor or dentist

Please note that employees of Royal Bank of Canada or any of its affiliated companies, and members of their immediate families are not eligible for the RBC Royal Bank Scholarship for First Year Medical & Dental Students.

How to Apply:

Applying is easy. All you have to do is complete and submit an online application form.

The application itself is divided into three sections:

Contact & School Details

• Provide basic contact details, including your e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, etc.
• Provide information on your current undergraduate or graduate school, as well as details on the medical or dental school you will be attending.

Volunteering & Employment

• Provide information on your volunteer activities, as well as paid employment and unpaid internships, if applicable.

Vocation

• Detail your motivation for becoming a healthcare practitioner, as well as provide your opinion on specific questions regarding Canada’s healthcare system.
