1. Where can I get help filling out my application?
For questions or help with your online application, please contact our RBC Royal Bank Scholarship Support Centre. We will accept your inquiry at anytime day or night, and we are committed to responding to every e-mail within two business days.
2. How long will it take me to complete the application?
The application takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, provided you have assembled the information required in advance. We recommend you print and completely fill out the application checklist before attempting to apply online.
3. May I submit my application in French?
Yes, you may submit your application in either of Canada’s official languages, French or English. However, applications must be completed and submitted using a single language.
4. Is it possible to submit an application by mail or fax?
No. Applications for the RBC Scholarship for First Year Medical & Dental Students may only be submitted online.
5. What are the technical requirements needed to submit an online application?
You don’t need to have any special applications or programs to complete our application. However, there are a few things you should know about your browser and security:

Security
To submit an application, you’ll need to have a 128-bit encryption pack installed in your browser. The 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate provides strong encryption for Internet transactions and is a worldwide standard for securing online e-commerce and banking transactions. 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is standard on all of the above browsers.

6. May I submit more than one application?
No. Each applicant is entitled to submit only one application.
7. May I enter with a partner or as part of a team?
No. You must submit your application as an individual.
8. Will I be required to submit transcripts, report cards or letters of recommendation?
Letters of recommendation are not required. You do not need to submit transcripts when you apply online. However, should you be selected as a finalist, you may need to submit an official school transcript for the purposes of verifying your grade average. You may also be required to submit proof of enrolment at a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada for the 2009/2010 academic year.
9. I don’t understand one of the essay questions on the application. Where can I go for help?

10. Is there a page or word limit to the essay questions?
Yes, there are word limits you must follow for the essay questions. For details on each question, please print and review the application checklist.
11. What happens if I exceed the word limit on an essay question?
We strongly encourage you to stay within the word limit, as this is the only way to guarantee that your written entries will be received exactly as you intended. Otherwise, you may run the risk of your essay answers being truncated and/or cut off at the word limits.
12. When is the last date I can submit my application?
All online applications must be completed and submitted by Wednesday, September 30, 2009 11:59:59pm EST.
13. How will I know if you have received my application?
Upon submitting your application, a confirmation number will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. You can consider receipt of this e-mail as confirmation that your application has been successfully received. To ensure you receive e-mails, please add rbc@usupport.net to your Safe Senders List. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail or require additional information on Safe Senders Lists, please contact the RBC Royal Bank Scholarship Support Centre.
