WHAT IT IS: a foundation dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for women through mentoring programs, conferences and information sharing. The prestigious ATHENA Award Programs recognize individuals on local, national, and international levels. Recipients are selected for their professional excellence, community service, and also for actively and generously assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence. Since its inception in 1982, thousands of recipients in hundreds of cities, including Canada, have received the ATHENA Award.

Canadian Women's Foundation
WHAT IT IS: A public charitable foundation committed to working for social and economic change. CWF provides grants to organizations helping women and girls achieve greater economic independence, self-reliance and safety.
WHAT YOU GET: Grassroots women's groups have an opportunity to submit proposals on specified dates, twice a year. Projects funded include self-employment or small businesses ventures.

WHAT IT IS: A national registered charity dedicated solely to the promotion, support, education and advancement of Canadian women entrepreneurs across the country.

LEAF Foundation
WHAT IT IS: The LEAF Foundation has raised millions of dollars to support the Women's Legal Education & Action Fund, a national, non-profit, volunteer organization whose goal is to advance the equality of women in Canada through litigation, public education, and law reform, using the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, particularly Sections 15 and 28.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: Your donation will directly aid LEAF in advancing equality for women and girls in Canada. The average cost of intervention in a case is $50,000, and rising.
