RBC Scholarships for First-Year Medical & Dental Students
RBC Financial Group will be awarding scholarships to students entering their first year of study in a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada for the 2007/2008 academic year. We're looking for students from communities throughout Canada who are beginning their studies to become an accredited medical doctor or dentist and demonstrate academic excellence, financial need and a commitment to their community.

Twenty-seven (27) scholarships will be awarded of $5,000 each to help professional medical and dental students with their educational costs and to recognize significant achievements they have already made.
Successful applicants will be selected by a committee of university and college representatives with expertise in admissions and evaluations.
Eligibility criteria1 - applicants must be:
Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada
Accepted into the first year of a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada for the 2007/2008 academic year
Studying to become an accredited medical doctor or dentist
Scholarships will be awarded to twenty-seven (27) successful students based upon criteria that include demonstrated academic excellence, financial need and community involvement.
1 Please note that employees of RBC Financial Group or any of its affiliated companies and members of their immediate families are not eligible for the RBC Medical & Dental Student Scholarship.
