How to Pay through RBC Online Banking

As with any other online bill payment (such as your cable or phone bill), you can add “CRA” as a bill payee and pay your annual income tax, either when you file or in installments.

  • Sign in to Online Banking.
  • On the right hand side of the Account Summary page you will find the “Quick Payment” widget.
  • Enter the amount you wish to pay, select the “From” Account and on the “To” field select “Add a Payee” from the drop down menu.
  • Enter payee name "CRA" and select "Search".
  • Choose your payee from the list of search results: For example, CRA Revenue 2015 Tax Owing.
  • Enter your Social Insurance Number (SIN) without spaces or dashes and select "Continue".
  • Click "Confirm." You will be presented with the “Add Payee Completed” page.
  • Select "Pay Bills and Transfer Funds", review the payment details and if the details are correct, click "Submit".
