Select or Combine Funding Sources


  • After initiating a Payment Order, you will arrive on the Funding Details screen.
  • Select the currency, source, and amount you would like to withdraw to fund the Payment Order.
  • Click Add.

    If currency conversion is required, you will be shown the exchange rate and total cost in the foreign currency.
  • Continue adding funding sources until the entire Payment Order is funded.
  • Once done, a popup screen will advise that ‘You’re Funded’ and ask you to confirm the processing date. By default the processing date will be set for today’s date, but can be adjusted.
  • Click save and continue.

Account Balances


On RBC PayEdge clients can see their account balances for all account types to help make informed funding decisions.

Balances can be viewed on:

  • The RBC PayEdge Dashboard, when you log into the platform,
  • The Manage Accounts page, when you access your account, and
  • The Funding Details and Fees pages while making payment orders.

When viewing balances, a date stamp will be visible for each account as highlighted below:

For RBC Account Balances:

  • RBC PayEdge provides automatic access to the real-time balances of clients’ RBC accounts set up on RBC PayEdge as funding sources.
  • The real-time balances displayed for RBC accounts are available balances which include overdraft and recent transactions.
  • These balances are automatically refreshed every 15 minutes.

For Other Financial Institutions (OFI) Account Balances:

  • RBC PayEdge provides access to the most up-to-date balances of clients’ OFI accounts.
  • Note: The “Balance” field will be blank while the balances are being retrieved and you will see “N/A” if RBC PayEdge is unable to retrieve the balances.

Foreign Exchange and Currency Conversion


RBC PayEdge provides access to send funds in over 30 currencies to support international payments.

When funding a payment, you have the opportunity to execute currency conversion if the currency of the account you are funding from and the currency of the disbursement do not match.

During the funding process, you will be presented with the applicable exchange rate and total cost in local currency for your acceptance.
