Why should I switch?
9 out 10 Infinite Avion cardholders are happy with their travel reward options*
You love to travel. And you work hard to earn your points. So why stick with a travel rewards card that gives you less value and freedom when Avion offers so much more?
Bottom line, you deserve a card that makes it easy to redeem for exactly what you want, when you want, without compromise or confusion.
Are all travel rewards created equal?
Absolutely not. Because some of the most well-known travel rewards programs are much less flexible and harder to take advantage of. With limited airline choice, restricted times you can fly, and unnecessary stopovers, it can be extremely difficult to book the travel you actually want.
Not to mention, their constantly changing rules. With Avion, we give you the unbeatable flexibility and choice of flying with 130 airlines, on any flight, at any time.
What makes Avion different?
It’s pretty simple. We want you to love using your points. Because travel is our passion too. So, unlike some of our competitors, we’re here to help make your travel dreams a reality – sooner and on your terms.
We believe that’s the reason we’re consistently ranked among the best travel rewards cards in Canada.
Why is it so easy to redeem travel with Avion?
With Avion, you’re not subject to blackout periods, seat restrictions, or unnecessary stopovers. Which means if there’s a seat available, you’re flying – even during peak seasons like March break and holidays.
And unlike other programs you can use your points to cover airline fees, taxes, hotels, car rentals, excursions, and more.
Is there anything other than travel that I can redeem for?
The short answer is, pretty much whatever you want. Here’s a breakdown:
- Choose from thousands of the hottest household, fashion and tech items from our catalogue
- Buy gift cards from your favourite brands such as Starbucks‡, Best Buy‡ & Amazon‡
- Use Payback with Points1 to make a payment directly toward your credit card balance
- Contribute to your financial future with Financial Rewards®
Donate your points to a charitable cause like Hope Air‡, Ronald McDonald House‡, Own the Podium‡, and the David Foster Foundation.‡ Plus Transfer your points to other popular travel loyalty programs including WestJet dollars‡, British Airways Avios points, American Airlines AAdvantage miles and Cathay Pacific‡ Asia Miles
Will I earn points quickly?
Not only do you get 1 point per $1 spent, but we’re continuously introducing new ways of earning points faster so you can travel further. For example, earn 1.25 points per $1 spent2 when using your Avion card for rental cars and hotels, and 2 times the reward points with Uber3!
Plus, the RBC Rewards app^ brings you exciting new offers right in the palm of your hand, including ways to earn bonus points while you shop great brands like Saks Fifth Avenue‡, Carlson Wagonlit‡, Thrifty’s Car Rental‡ and more! Download the RBC Rewards App today.
How far will my rewards points take me?
Hopefully around the world! But for example, a quick flight from Toronto to New York, or Vancouver to Calgary is only 15,000 points†.
And regardless of when you travel – peak or low travel seasons, that number doesn’t change. Neither does the value of your points.
What about insurance?
Absolutely, we’ve got you covered. Your RBC® Visa Infinite‡ Avion® card provides Premium Travel Insurance, this includes Out of Country/Province Medical coverage4, Trip Cancellation5, Auto Insurance6 and more! Learn more about the insurance offered on each of our cards.
