Misplaced your client card or credit card? With the RBC Mobile app, you’re able to simply lock your card. This eliminates your worries of it getting misused and the hassle of cancelling your card. And unlocking is just as easy.
Locking Your Card
You can lock your RBC client card or credit card temporarily at any time. Use Card Lock if you’ve misplaced your card by simply logging in to the RBC Mobile app and navigating to your account details page.
While Your Card is Locked
When your card is locked, all cash advances, purchases and withdrawals either online or in person will be declined.
You can still make payments to your credit card, pre-authorized payments will continue to be paid and you can use your RBC Rewards points while it’s locked.
When your client card is locked, pre-authorized payments, INTERAC Online Payments, mobile deposits, online refunds, and Apple Pay and Android Wallet transactions will continue to be active and processed.
Unlocking Your Card
Found your card? Great! You can just as easily unlock it by logging in to the RBC Mobile app and navigating to your account details page.
Think your credit card’s been lost or stolen
First lock your credit card, then report it through the RBC Mobile app or through RBC Online Banking, your card will then be locked and we will issue you a new card.
