What credit cards and payment methods are not eligible for this offer?

RBC Virtual Visa Debit, RBC Commercial Credit Cards, and RBC US Bank credit card products are ineligible to participate. Third party wallets (i.e. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) are not eligible for the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer.

What happens if I pay for an order with a payment method other than an Eligible RBC Credit Card?

While you’re free to use the payment method of your choice, the DashPass Benefits will only apply when you pay for your eligible food order using an Eligible RBC Credit Card. You’ll pay the full delivery fee on an order from a DashPass restaurant if you pay with an ineligible payment method, including third party wallets or ineligible credit card.

To take advantage of your DashPass Benefits, make sure you subscribe to DashPass, activate the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer, and pay for your eligible food order using an Eligible RBC Credit Card.

What happens when my Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer ends?

After your free trial ends, your Eligible RBC Credit Card will automatically be charged the current monthly subscription fee of $9.99/month and you’ll continue getting all the perks of DashPass. There are no contracts and you can cancel your subscription at any time through the DoorDash app or at www.doordash.com/dashpass opens in a new window.

DoorDash will communicate the date that the Benefit Period for the DashPass Benefits is ending through the DoorDash app and DoorDash will send each enrolled client an email 14 days prior to the end of their Benefit Period reminding the client that their Benefit Period is ending.

What information will RBC and DoorDash share?

When you subscribe to the DashPass Benefits, you consent to Royal Bank of Canada and DoorDash sharing your personal information and communicating with you for the purpose of administering the rewards and benefits. Personal information may include information about the first 6 digits of your RBC credit card number, the last 4 digits of your RBC credit card number, the RBC credit card expiry date, card status, and postal code. What happens if I activated the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer and re-subscribe with a different card?

You are only eligible for one 12 month Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer and one 6 month Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer during the Offer Period. The Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer Commences on the date you subscribe to receive the Complimentary DashPass Subscription . Eligible RBC Credit Cardholders may upgrade their card to receive a 12 month DashPass after subscribing to a 6 month DashPass, but they may not acquire a card of lesser value and subscribe to a 6 month DashPass after activating a 12 month DashPass.

What happens if I add another Eligible RBC Credit Card to my DoorDash wallet to pay for food orders?

Once you’ve activated the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer, you may pay for your eligible food order using any Eligible RBC Credit Card at checkout to receive the $0 delivery fee benefit. If you use a non-RBC Credit Card or non-Eligible RBC Credit Card for your DoorDash purchase you will no longer be eligible for the DashPass Benefits.

RBC credit cards on third party wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are not eligible.

Yes, as long as each person in the household has their own Eligible RBC Credit Card, they can each activate their respective DashPass Benefit when they subscribe to DashPass.

I was charged a delivery fee even though I paid with an Eligible RBC Credit Card. What do I do?

To access the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer, confirm the following:

The food order was paid using the eligible RBC credit card that is subscribed to the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer. RBC Credit Cards on third party wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay are not eligible.
The order had a minimum spend amount of $15.00 CDN before taxes.
If you are still unclear about why you were charged a fee, please call DoorDash Customer Support at 1-855-431-0459 for assistance, and they’ll be happy to help.

What is the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer for RBC clients?

You can enjoy a Complimentary DashPass Subscription for 6 or 12 months when you subscribe to DashPass prior to {{doordash_expiry_date}} (“Offer Period”) with an Eligible RBC Credit Card.

What happens if I have already paid for a DashPass subscription?

To be eligible for the Offer you must be either (i) the primary cardholder of an Eligible RBC credit card and also meet the following criteria:

No Recent DashPass Subscription: You must not have been subscribed to DashPass in any form (including but not limited to a paid membership, free trial, promotional subscription, or partnership plan) within the six (6) months immediately preceding redemption of the Offer. For clarity:
- The six-month eligibility requirement is a fixed look-back period, not a rolling period.
Redemption Limit: You may redeem at most two (2) complimentary DashPass subscription periods in your lifetime through DashPass for RBC, regardless of whether obtained via a previous offer, this Offer, an upgrade, or any other related promotion. Once this limit is reached, the individual is no longer eligible for additional complimentary DashPass Subscription periods through DashPass for RBC.

How do I know if I’m eligible for the 6 or 12 month benefit?

Visit www.rbc.com/doordash and select your credit card from the drop down list. Once selected, you will be able to see which Benefit Period you are eligible for.

How do I use my Complimentary DashPass Subscription?

Once you’ve added your Eligible RBC Credit Card to your DoorDash account and signed up for the DashPass subscription, you can start saving on every eligible order. Here’s how:

Go to the DoorDash app or doordash.com and select an eligible restaurant. Just look for the DashPass logo
Add items to your cart
You can proceed to checkout after meeting the order minimum of $15.00 CAD before taxes and other fees for DashPass Benefits
If the minimum DashPass order subtotal is not met, the difference to reach the DashPass minimum will be displayed on the checkout page
Use an Eligible RBC Credit Card to pay for your DoorDash order to receive the DashPass Benefits
Your DashPass savings will be displayed on the checkout page

When will my Complimentary DashPass subscription expire?

Your DashPass Benefits will begin on the date you subscribe to DashPass with your Eligible RBC Credit Card and end 6 or 12 months from that date. The 6 or 12 month offer period for your complimentary DashPass subscription Offer will be based on the Eligible RBC Credit Card used to subscribe for DashPass.

Will there be changes to the complimentary DashPass subscription offer for Eligible RBC Credit Cardholders?

The offer terms for the complimentary DashPass subscription offer (“Offer Terms”) may be changed, cancelled or withdrawn at any time without notice to you. Either Royal Bank or DoorDash may, at its discretion, cancel your complimentary DashPass subscription, including if and when you are or become ineligible for the complimentary DashPass subscription offer or if and when either of us suspects fraudulent activity.

What happens if I remove my Eligible RBC Credit Card from my Complimentary DashPass subscription?

DashPass Benefits are only available when you pay for the DashPass subscription using your Eligible RBC Credit Card. If you remove your Eligible RBC Credit Card(s) from the DoorDash app, then the DashPass Benefits will end. You can re-subscribe at a later time using an Eligible RBC Credit Card and receive the DashPass Benefits for the remainder of the complimentary Benefit Period.

Can I take advantage of more than one Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer if I unsubscribe and sign up again with the same Eligible RBC Credit Card?

Your Eligible RBC Credit Card may only be used with one DoorDash account to receive a Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer. Once you have received a Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer, you cannot use the same Eligible RBC Credit Card to obtain another Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer with another DoorDash account.

Why don’t I see the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer in the DoorDash app?

Here are some reasons you may not be seeing the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer:

Ensure you have downloaded the most up to date DoorDash app. Check the iOS opens in a new window | Android opens in a new window app stores opens in a new window for updates.
Payments through third-party wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay are not eligible for the free subscription. Check to make sure you have entered your Eligible RBC Credit Card in the DoorDash app under “Account” -> “Payment” -> “Add Payment Method”.
You may need to update your credit card information on the DoorDash app. Within the DoorDash app, tap on the “Account” icon and navigate to “Payment” and “Add Payment Method”, select “Credit/Debit Card” and re-enter your card number, expiration date, CVV and postal code. After you save your card information, the promotional offer should appear.
If you still don’t see the promotional offer, please call DoorDash Customer Support at 1-855-431-0459.

Please note, the Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer is only available to one Eligible RBC Credit Card per DoorDash account. An Eligible RBC Credit Card that is already subscribed to the DashPass Benefits does not qualify for any additional DashPass Benefits.

Why did I receive a $0.50 charge on my credit card from DashPass?

In some cases, we need to verify that you activated the DashPass Benefits by creating a temporary $0.50 charge. This charge will be refunded within 3-5 business days.

When does this Complimentary DashPass Subscription Offer end?

The offer is available for enrolment until {{doordash_expiry_date}}.

Benefit Period: the date on which you subscribe to DashPass with your Eligible RBC Credit Card until 6 or 12 months from that date, depending on the Eligible RBC Credit Card used to subscribe for DashPass.
