This creates a buzz \u2013 what are we watching?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-rbc-list-item\">\n<p>Ask your guests to bring a unique popcorn topping \u2013 dill, cheese, ranch, wheat germ \u2013 who knows what you&#8217;ll get! Go geocaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of it like a treasure hunt. All you need is a sense of adventure and phone with GPS. Here&#8217;s how it works. People hide small items (e.g., mini toys, trinkets or coins) in water-tight containers around the world, along with a logbook and pencil. Download the geocaching app and search for &#8220;caches&#8221; near you. Follow the GPS coordinates and search until you find your target. Open it, sign the logbook and add a small item to the box for the next person, if you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Pro tip: Activate your steps tracker; you&#8217;ll be amazed how far you&#8217;ll travel when hunting for hidden treasures. No pricey gym membership required.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Host a board game or trivia night<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine your friends or family gathered around a table playing board games or battling over trivia questions. Super fun, sure, but also brain-nourishing, free and repeatable (tournaments, anyone?). If you have games at home, great. If not, ask your guests to bring some or check local free listings on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trivia doesn&#8217;t need to be a pricey night out at a pub. Whether you live in the city, the country or somewhere in between, there are easy ways to enjoy some fresh air. Go for a hike or a walk in a local forest or conservation area. Trail difficulty ranges and many have accessible options including paved sections with railings. In government-run spots, routes are usually well-marked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not much for the forest? City walks can also be an adventure. Find a new area and explore its sights and sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Pro tip: Pocket a few granola bars and always bring more water than you think you&#8217;ll need.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Organize a closet swap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What better way to shop than with friends \u2013 for free! Whether it&#8217;s fit or fashion, we&#8217;ve all got clothes we haven&#8217;t worn in years. Before you toss or donate, try gathering a group of willing friends and\/or family for a clothing swap.
