Can I get the promotional rates if I already have an RBC High Interest eSavings account?

The 1% interest rate offer for the first 3 months is only available to individuals who have never been the primary owner of an RBC High Interest eSavings account at any time before May 6, 2021 and who open an RBC High Interest eSavings account by August 31, 2021. To receive the 1.5% interest rate offer for the next 3 months, you must have qualified to receive the 1% interest rate offer for the first three months, and also sign up for MyAdvisor (or sign in, if you’re already enrolled) within 60 days of opening your first RBC High Interest eSavings account.

Can I get the 1.5% promotional rate if I’m already using MyAdvisor?

Yes! The promotional interest rate of 1.5% for 3 months (on balances up to $1,000,000) is also available to individuals who are already enrolled in MyAdvisor. To receive the 1.5% interest rate offer for the second 3-month period following the date you open your first RBC High Interest eSavings account, you need to sign in to MyAdvisor within 60 days of opening that account.

What will the interest rate in my RBC High Interest Savings account be after the promotional period?

At the end of your first 3-month promotional period (during which you will earn 1% interest on balances up to $1,000,000), your RBC High Interest eSavings account balance will either:

Earn interest at the regular posted interest rate applicable to the RBC High Interest eSavings account at that time, if you do not also sign up for MyAdvisor (or sign in, if you’re already enrolled) within 60 days of opening your first RBC High Interest eSavings account;

Earn 1.5% interest (on balances up to $1,000,000) for the next 3 months if you also sign up for MyAdvisor (or sign in, if you’re already enrolled) within 60 days of opening your first RBC High Interest eSavings account.

After this second 3-month period, you will earn interest at the regular posted interest rate applicable to the RBC High Interest eSavings account at that time.

Can I still get the 1.0% promotional rate without accessing MyAdvisor?

Yes! The promotional interest rate of 1.0% for the first 3 months (on balances up to $1,000,000) is available to individuals who open their first RBC High Interest eSavings account as the primary owner by 3pm EST on August 31, 2021¹.

The Promotional Interest Rate of 1.00% for the first 90 days² within the RBC New eSavings Client Interest Rate Offer (“Offer”) is available to Eligible Clients who were not the Primary Owner of an RBC High Interest eSavings Account at any time before the beginning of the Qualifying Period (as defined below), and who a) open a new RBC High Interest eSavings account (“Eligible eSavings Account”) as the Primary Owner between May 6, 2021 and 3:00 PM EST on August 31, 2021 (the “Qualifying Period”). (Note: For added clarity, you will not qualify for this Offer by switching from another account type to an Eligible eSavings Account.) The Promotional Interest Rate of 1.50% for the next 90 days after expiry of the first 90 days from account open is available to Eligible Clients who fulfilled the Qualifying Criteria for the 1.00% Promotional Interest Rate and additionally sign up or sign in to MyAdvisor within 60 days of their Eligible eSavings Account open date. The 1.00% and 1.50% Promotional Rate is calculated by adding the Regular Interest Rate (0.05% on May 6, 2021) with the Bonus Interest Rate (0.95% and 1.45% on May 6, 2021 respectively).
