RBC Scholarships for Graduating Medical & Dental Students

RBC Financial Group is awarding scholarships to five students completing their final year of study in a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada in 2006. We're looking for students from communities throughout Canada who are completing their studies to become an accredited medical doctor or dentist and demonstrate quality of care, community involvement and financial need.

Five scholarships will be awarded of $3,000 each to help professional medical and dental students with their educational costs and to recognize significant achievements they have already made.

Successful applicants will be selected by a committee of university and college representatives with expertise in admissions and evaluations, medicine and dentistry.

Eligibility criteria* - applicants must be:

• Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada

• Completing their final year of a recognized medical or dental program at a university in Canada in 2006

• Studying to become an accredited medical doctor or dentist

Scholarships will be awarded to five successful students based upon criteria that include demonstrated quality of care, community involvement and financial need. Application deadline is March 31, 2006. Winners will be notified by May 31, 2006.
