Any resident of Canada (except residents of British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan†) who is a licensed driver may submit an auto insurance quote request to RBC Insurance. If more than one driver will be on the policy, we recommend that the registered owner of the vehicle(s) or the intended policyholder request the quote. How much time will it take me to submit my quote request? This depends on several factors, including how many drivers and vehicles you are including in your quote. The average visitor, requesting a quote for 2 vehicles and 2 drivers, will need between 10 and 15 minutes to submit a quote. We will ask you questions specific to you and your vehicles, so you can submit your request as quickly as possible. How does RBC Insurance approach security and privacy? Why do some questions request such detailed information? It's our goal to give you the most accurate quote possible so you can make an informed purchase. To do that, we need to ask you for certain details. How precise do I have to be when I estimate vehicle value or kilometres? Don't worry. While we'd like you to be as precise as possible, we also understand that exact numbers can be hard to pin down. Give your "best guess"—you can confirm this information after your quote and call us if the information is significantly different from the estimate you provided. If you save your quote, you can also come back and change the information online. I don't remember the date of a moving violation, accident or claim. What do I do? It's okay if you don't remember the exact month and year of a moving violation, accident or claim involving you or another driver you want to include in your quote. Just give us an approximate date. We guarantee your quote after you submit your request, provided that the information you have given is accurate and has not changed when you buy your policy. Tip: Save your quote so you can come back later to review your quote, make changes or buy your policy online††. What are my payment options? You may buy your policy online†† or by calling the toll-free number that accompanies your quote. You can pay by cheque, automatic withdrawal from chequing, or Visa/MasterCard (if buying online). And, of course, you have the option to pay your premium in full or in monthly instalments.
