I cannot sign into RBC Express. I have received the following message: RBC has detected that the application address is incorrect.

Your sign-in credentials may be incorrect.

  1. Verify that your Certificate Holder ID is correct (typically your email address).
  2. Verify that your passphrase/password is correct.
    1. Ensure that you do not have Caps Lock activated.
    2. After 5 incorrect attempts, your ID will be locked out for 2 hours.
  3. Click on the Forgot Passphrase link on the sign-in page and follow the steps to change your passphrase if necessary.
  4. Confirm with your Service Administrator that your company has requested two factor token authentication in order to sign in to RBC Express. Do not enter a token number if this feature has not been activated.

The RBC Express certificate has not previously been installed as a Trusted Certificate in the Java Control Panel on your PC. This certificate is required in order to run RBC Express.

  1. Select the checkbox Always trust content from this publisher

Most commonly, this issue occurs if your certificate has expired:

  1. Click on Forgot Passphrase from the sign-in page
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to renew your certificate
  3. Upon completion, close down the RBC Express page
  4. Click on the following link and attempt to sign in: https://www4.rbc.com/nj00-wcm/
  5. If the problem persists, contact our Client Support Centre
