Philipsburg, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 – Recently, RBC Royal Bank gave a donation to the Positive Foundation to support them in maintaining their annual breast cancer awareness campaign. Part of this campaign is the Annual Pink Parade in recognition of those who have lost their lives to the decease, those who have survived and those still engaged in their fight against it. Besides the donation, the RBC employees also wore pink on Friday, September 30 and participated in the 7th edition of the Parade to raise awareness for breast cancer in the community.
Lisandra Havertong, Branch Manager Simpson Bay of RBC Royal Bank St. Maarten said: "The work that Positive Foundation does for our community and those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer is of great importance.” She continued: “This disease affects many of us personally and through this contribution we want to give life to RBC’s collective ambition to helping our clients thrive and our communities prosper. The initiatives the foundation organizes throughout the year are generally made possible by donations and with our yearly contribution, as well by participating in the annual Pink Parade we want to demonstrate our personal concern to the fight against breast cancer.”
