RBC^® “$5K Family Getaway” Contest (the “Contest”)

This contest is sponsored by RBC (the “Sponsors”).

Please read these contest rules (“Contest Rules”) in their entirety before entering the Contest. Do not enter the Contest unless you agree to these Contest Rules. Participation in the Contest constitutes unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Contest Rules which are final on all matters relating to the Contest. By entering this Contest you agree to be bound by the decisions of contest judges which are final and binding in all respects.

1. CONTEST PERIOD: The contest runs from June 1, 2013 at 12:00:01am EDT to September 30, 2013 at 11:59:59 pm EDT (the “Contest Period”).

2. ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence on or before the start of the Contest Period. Limit one entry per person. Employees of the Sponsors and those with whom they are domiciled, its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, advertising or promotional agencies or the independent contest organization are not eligible.

3. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To be eligible, contestants must fully complete the online survey located at rbcroyalbank.com/familygetaway, rbcroyalbank.com/5Kgetaway, rbcroyalbank.com/getaway during the Contest Period. The entry process requires the collection of the following personal information; name, year of birth, mailing address, email address, phone number and future travel plans.

4. PRIZE(S):

Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, consisting of a $5000.00 Vacation Certificate from Orbitz.com^‡. Travel Certificate is valid for (12) twelve months from the date of issuance, for travel products available for sale on Orbitz.com, and may be subject to restrictions. Travel transaction must be completed in one booking and no balance will be held, nor cash refund offered, if purchase made is less than the value of the certificate. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsors in their sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions except at Sponsors’ option. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Grand Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsors’ sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. All of the features and characteristics of the Grand Prize, unless otherwise explicitly provided herein, is at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Instant Win Prizes: There will be seven (7) Instant Win prizes available to be won during the Contest Period, each consisting of a Disney^‡ PLANES^‡ Prize Pack with a value of $100 CAD. The first entrant to submit their Registration Entry on or after one of the seven (7) randomly selected seconds between June 1, 2013 at 12:00:01 a.m. EDT and July 19, 2013 at 5:00:00 p.m. EDT will be automatically selected as a potential Instant Win prize winner. In the event that a potential winner cannot be contacted or is deemed not eligible, a random draw will be held on July 22, 2013 at approximately 2:00 p.m. EDT to select a replacement winner.

Potential Instant Win prize winners will be notified with an instructional webpage that will appear immediately following their survey entry and with an email sent to the email address provided in the survey entry. The email will include a link to print off a prize declaration and release form, which will need to be printed, completed and returned to: RBC $5K Family Getaway Contest, c/o SVS Marketing, Toronto, ON, M6M 2P5. The prize declaration and release form must be returned within 5 days and must include the correct answer to the skill testing question at the bottom in order for the potential Instant Win prize winner to be declared an official winner. If a potential Instant Win prize winner is unable to print the prize declaration and release form, they must call 1-866-386-6727 within 48 hours of viewing their Instant Win notification webpage to arrange to have the form mailed to them.

If, due to mechanical error, there are more than seven (7) potential Instant Win prize winners, a random draw will be held on July 22, 2013 at approximately 2:00 p.m. ET amongst all potential Instant Win prize winners to determine who will be awarded the prizes.

The movie ticket component of the Instant Win prize pack will be fulfilled, separately, via email.

5. CONSENT TO MARKET TO ENTRANTS: By entering this Contest, each entrant permits the Sponsors, their agents, promotional agencies, representatives and Contest judges to collect the information submitted with the entry and to use it to administer the Contest. You also permit RBC to use and share this information with other RBC^® companies to promote to you products and services that may be of interest to you, unless you otherwise indicate or as prohibited by law. RBC companies may communicate with you through various channels, including telephone, computer or mail, using the contact information you have provided. You acknowledge that as a result of such sharing they may advise RBC of those products or services provided. RBC will respect your preferences otherwise recorded. 6. DRAW: A random selection will be made by an independent contest organization, in Toronto at 2:00 pm EST, on October 15, 2013, from among all eligible entries based on, and as determined solely by the Sponsors’ records at the end of the Contest Period, which records will be deemed final and conclusive on all matters. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be contacted by telephone or email, and must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question to be posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time and date. If the selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, or cannot be contacted within (7) seven days of being selected, his or her entry will be disqualified and another will be randomly selected until the prize has been awarded. The winner will be notified by the Sponsors to make arrangements for the awarding of the prize. Winner will be required to sign a standard Declaration of Compliance, Liability Release form and Publicity Release. Which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded; (iii) releases the prize suppliers, the sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) consents to the use of his/her name, city or province and/or photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsors and/or their advertising and promotional agencies relative to this Contest.

7. ADDITIONAL TERMS: All entries become the property of the Sponsors who assume no responsibility for garbled, inaudible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, effect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event of a dispute over email entries, the entrant will be deemed to be the holder of the email account.

8. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the property conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes, the Sponsors reserves their right, subject only to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) in Quebec, without need of individual notice, to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, including, without limitation, canceling any method of entry, and/or selecting a winner from previously received eligible entries. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Contest Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such attempt be made the Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest website, where applicable.

9. For residents of Québec: Any litigation in regards to the conduct or organization of this publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie for a ruling. Any litigation in regards to the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie, only for purposes of helping the parties reach a settlement. For all other participants, any litigation must be initiated in the City of Toronto, in Ontario, Canada.

11. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations applicable in Canada. This contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.
