RBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Dwight R. Burrows to the position of Regional Vice President, Private Banking. Dwight will maintain responsibility for RBC’s International Business Clients and Captive Insurance Business.
At RBC, Dwight will lead our dedicated team of Private Bankers across the region. He will help build on the success of RBC’s award-winning Private Banking services in the Caribbean with a deeper focus on the critically-important Bahamian and Caymanian markets. As well, Dwight’s knowledge and expertise with International Business Clients (including Captive Insurance Business) will help RBC accelerate growth in this sector.
Dwight is an established 30 year Caribbean leader in Financial Services with extensive experience leading teams and building relationships. He has held senior positions in retail banking, business banking, and wealth management in The Bahamas and in the Cayman Islands. Most recently Dwight was the CEO and Managing Director for a Class ‘A’ bank in the Cayman Islands. He is the immediate past President of the Cayman Islands Bankers’ Association (CIBA), where he served as Vice President in 2018-2019.
Dwight is a proud member of the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services. He is a Distinguished Toastmaster and active member of Toastmasters International Club 1600. Dwight holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dwight has transitioned from the Cayman Islands back home to The Bahamas.
