The promotional offer described below (“Offer”) is available from February 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 (the “Offer Period”) and is available only to merchants located in Canada who meet each of the following criteria (the “Eligibility Criteria”):
- a. The merchant is not an existing Moneris merchant, and enters into a merchant agreement for credit and debit card processing (“Merchant Agreement”) with Moneris Solutions Corporation (“Moneris”) during the Offer Period.
- b. Must have a bank account with RBC®.
- c. The merchant successfully signs up for a Moneris Go (PAX A920) or Moneris Go Plus (DX8000) device, while supplies last.
- d. The following does not apply to the merchant: (i) the merchant currently participates in a merchant program for franchisees, trade associations, member associations or other buying groups; or (ii) the merchant has processed an aggregate Visa® and Mastercard® transaction volume of $2,500,000 CAD or greater in the three (3) months preceding acceptance of the Offer.
Merchants that fulfill the Eligibility Criteria will receive the following, as determined by Moneris acting in its sole discretion:
- a. Moneris will waive terminals rentals for the first 4 on eligible device at the start of the term upon entering into a Merchant Agreement with Moneris.
- b. Moneris will apply a one-time credit of up to CAD $500 to the merchant’s bank account based on the merchant’s Visa and Mastercard credit card and Interac debit transaction volume (purchase transactions only) during the first 12 months of entering into a Merchant Agreement, determined as follows:

Pursuant to the terms of this offer, “Cash Back” shall be construed as a credit of up to CAD $500 that will be applied directly to the merchant’s bank account upon fulfilling the eligibility criteria. This credit shall not constitute a cash refund or a cash disbursement. The credit must be accepted as awarded and cannot be withdrawn, substituted, transferred, or exchanged for cash or other value.
If a merchant declines the Offer option that is made by Moneris, Moneris shall have no obligation to offer an alternative option.
Offer is limited to one (1) device per merchant that fulfills the Eligibility Criteria. This limit applies regardless of whether the merchant is party to more than one Merchant Agreement.
Moneris is under no obligation to approve a merchant for any services and reserves the right to determine a qualified merchant in accordance with its credit adjudication and other policies and procedures. Following satisfactory internal Moneris approval, merchants will be required to agree to, and agree to be bound by, the terms and conditions under the Merchant Agreement. The Offer is subject to change, withdrawal or cancellation at any time and is not valid or combinable with any other offer for Moneris payment processing services. The merchant remains responsible for all other fees and payments in accordance with their Merchant Agreement, including applicable restocking fees. There may be certain events, circumstances or incidents outside our control that disrupt the service or otherwise delay deposits. Funds availability is subject to client agreements.
In order to get a business bank account and account number online, the business must be a sole proprietorship or a single-owner corporation, in each case, with only one authorized signatory. The business must be registered in Canada or a business operated in Canada by a natural person who is a permanent resident of Canada. Additionally, the authorized signatory completing the online application on behalf of the business must successfully complete the personal identification portion of the application, including, without limitation, a credit bureau report to the satisfaction of Royal Bank of Canada. Multi-owner businesses or businesses that have more than one authorized signatory will be directed to the branch to get a business bank account and account number. Issuance of an account number does not guarantee that the account is operational. RBC may restrain the use of the account and require the business client to visit a branch to satisfy any outstanding requirements prior to operating the account. RBC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require that the business client visit a branch to complete the application. A business client that successfully completes the online application will still need to visit a branch to obtain a business client card and sign additional documentation, even if a bank account number has been issued. Actual completion time may vary from person to person and may be affected by a variety of external factors, including internet navigation speed and other interruptions.
