Effective November 6, 2023 we will be making some updates to your Electronic Access Agreement. Below is a summary of changes that will be made.

Update of the name of the Verified.Me Service

Q&A: Changes to the Electronic Access Agreement (EAA) November 2023

Interac Online Payment Service was decommissioned and is no longer offered by Royal Bank of Canada.
Please be advised that this is different from Interac e-Transfer service, to which you will still have access through Royal Bank of Canada and will allow you to send and receive money using the Interac e-Transfer feature in your RBC Royal Bank Online Banking or RBC Mobile app.

The following products, services or features were introduced by RBC and added to the EAA:

  • - Virtual Assistant; and
  • - Credit Services in Mobile Banking.

  • - Clarifications made with respect to the agreement language preference and the default language for Online Banking.
  • - Changes made to reflect the new name for the former Verified.Me Service, now referred to as Interac Verification Service.
  • - Edits to the RBC Digital Banking Security Guarantee, to reflect defined terms and to provide examples.

To consent to the new Electronic Access Agreement (EAA), simply sign in to RBC Royal Bank Online Banking as usual on or after November 6th, 2023. No further action is necessary.
