Q. How much will it cost to have my web site listed on the RBFG Merchant Online Shopping Directory?
A. At this time, this initiative is being piloted and our Moneris merchants will not be charged a fee. After the pilot period, we will assess the effectiveness and the value of this directory and will provide information on any costs associated with the directory to the participating merchants.
Q. How can I participate in the RBFG Merchant Online Shopping Directory?
A. To qualify for a listing in this directory you will need to have the following:
- an Internet store selling a product or service with an SSL encrypted online form for processing transactions,
- an Internet-approved Moneris account.

Q. If I have a "physical" storefront and not a web site, can I sign up for the RBFG Merchant Online Shopping Directory?
A. This initiative is to encourage consumers to shop online at Canadian merchant web sites. To participate in this pilot, you will need a web site that sells your product or service.
Q. If I have a web site that takes credit card payments by way of a 1-800 number or the consumer faxes an order form, can I participate in the RBFG Merchant Online Shopping Directory?
A. Yes, this service is available to you.
Q. How long will my web site be on the directory?
A. For the duration of the pilot and as long as you continue to sell products and/or services on your web site, by accepting credit card transactions with a valid Moneris Internet account. In addition, the participation of the merchants on the Online Shopping Directory will be optional, should you not choose to pay for this service if any fees were applied in future to your listing in the directory.
Q. Once I sign up, how long does it take for my web site to be listed on the RBFG Online Shopping Directory?
A. Qualified merchants who submit their requests by the 15th of each month will have their web site listed on the directory by the 1st of the following month.
