Download Instructions
With a direct link to your supported version of Quicken*, QuickBooks*, Microsoft®1 Money, Simply Accounting+ or Makisoft, you can download some of your Online Banking transactions without having to retype each entry. Here's how:
- Ensure your software program is installed properly. If you are downloading to Simply Accounting for the first time, please see our additional instructions.
- Go to www.rbcroyalbank.com and click on "Sign In to Online Banking."
- Enter your Client Card or Business Client Identification number, your password, and click "Sign-In."
- Click on the "Copy to accounting software" button.
- Select the accounts you would like to download and the period for which you would like to download.
- Select your software program from the list provided. The system will ask you to select an account from those you have set up. If you cannot match with any accounts previously set up, you will have to create another account within your software program.
- You may now begin your session with your financial management software.

Additional Instructions for Simply Accounting Users
If this is your first time downloading from RBC Royal Bank Online Banking to Simply Accounting, please follow these steps to set-up Simply Accounting so it can accept the download of transactions from Online Banking.
From the Simply Accounting main page:
- Select the "Accounts" icon from the "General" module
- Select the RBC Royal Bank account you want downloaded transactions to be imported to
- Select "Class Options"
- Ensure that the "Accounts Class" field is "Bank"
- In the Transit Number field, enter 900000100 (not your 5 digit RBC Royal Bank branch number)
- In the Account Number field, enter your 5-digit RBC Royal Bank branch number followed immediately by your 7-digit RBC Royal Bank account number.
- Continue with the general download instructions above.
