1. How many scholarships are available and what is their value?
There are 10 scholarships available. Each is valued at $2,007.
2. What is the deadline for applications?
Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 11, 2007.
3. I graduated from high school, but returned for extra courses – am I still eligible to apply?
Yes. Graduated students who are currently attending high school for extra courses or upgrades are eligible to apply, provided all the other eligibility criteria have been met.
4. I plan on attending a post-secondary school outside of Canada – am I still eligible to apply?
No. Award winners must be enrolled and planning to attend an accredited Canadian college or university. Students planning to pursue post-secondary studies outside of Canada are not eligible to apply.
5. I am in my first year of university. Am I eligible for this scholarship?
No. RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarships are awarded to students who are entering their first year of a Canadian college, CEGEP or university in the fall of 2007 as a full time student.
6. My parents and my aunt work for RBC Royal Bank -- am I still eligible to apply for the RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarships?
No. Employees of RBC Royal Bank or any to its affiliated companies, and members of their immediate families are not eligible for the RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarships.
7. I am not a Canadian citizen -- am I still eligible to apply for the RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarship?
No. You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
8. Is there a minimum grade required in order to be eligible to apply for this RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarship?
Yes. Applicants must have a minimum grade average of 65 per cent.

You will receive an e-mail from the RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarship confirming receipt.

Enclose a sample of work you have done in the past year that demonstrates your interests and abilities. For example, this could be a school project. It can be anything you are proud of and which sets you apart from others, including extra-curricular projects or hobbies.
12. How many samples of work do I have to send with my application?
Please send only one sample of work.
13. Will my sample of work be returned to me?
No. Please send only copies; originals will not be returned.
14. Can I attach additional documents aside from my acceptance letter and sample of work?
Yes.
