1. How can I start receiving Royal Credit Line electronic statements?
- From your RBC Online Banking Home page, click on "Update Profile".
- Click on "View/Change My Statement Options" and choose "Change".
- Select "Electronic Statement" and click "Continue".
- Agree to terms and conditions.
- Confirm your choice.
If you do not have access to RBC Online Banking, enrol now.

2. How far back can I access my electronic statements?
You will have the ability to access up to 7 years of statements. The 7 year period starts with the first statement being produced after May 2007 — the launch of this service. Also electronic statements can not be viewed when the client has chosen the "paper" record keeping option.

3. What if I need to save my statements for longer than seven years?
If the client needs to retain statements for longer than seven years, they have the option of either printing them or saving them on their computer.

4. Can my co-borrower view the electronic statements?
Yes, your co-borrower can view an electronic statement for any month the co-borrower's name was on the account. However, if you or your co-borrower selected "separate disclosure" on your account, the electronic statement option is not available.

5. Why has my statement changed?
We've changed your statement to make it easier for you to read and find the information that is important to you. Also, on the new statement, if you have a co-borrower on your account, your co-borrower's name will now appear on front of the statement.

6. If I switch to eStatements, will I receive my annual statement electronically as well?
Yes, if you choose the electronic statement option you will receive your annual Royal Credit Line statement in online banking. Your annual statement should appear in online banking in the last three weeks of February in time for the annual tax deadline.

7. Will the large number of statements affect the speed of my RBC Online Banking?
No. Electronic Statements will reside on RBC Royal Bank's archive. Therefore, it will not affect the performance of RBC Online Banking on your computer.

8. Can I delete copies of statements I have already viewed?
No. Statements will remain in the "archive" of RBC Online Banking. This will help you retrieve older statements should you need to refer to them at a later date.

9. Why did I not get an electronic statement?
Whether paper or electronic format, no statement is produced if there has been no transaction activity.

10. Why can't I see an electronic version of my statements prior to May 2007?
We only started archiving electronic versions of the paper statements from May 2007 onwards.

11. Do I need Adobe Acrobat to use Adobe Reader?
No. Adobe Reader is a stand-alone application that you can use to open, view, search, and print PDF files, such as those created by Adobe Acrobat or Adobe LiveCycle software.

on Adobe.com. You can also download Adobe Reader wherever you see the Get Adobe Reader icon. Once you have clicked the link or icon, you will be led through easy steps that allow you to identify your language, platform, and connection type. Once you have completed this simple process, the Adobe Reader software downloads and installs automatically on your system.

15. Can I choose 'no electronic' and 'no paper' option?
The ability to choose "no statement" is not available.

16. I don't want to receive these electronic statements anymore. How can I turn off this functionality?
To change back to a paper statement, sign in to RBC Online Banking, click "Update Profile", then click "View/Change My Statement Options".

17. If I switch back to paper statements, will I still have access to the previous electronic statements received?
Your current preference selection determines the access that you will have. Before you switch back to a paper statement, you may save the electronic copies of the statement to your personal PC. Afterward, those statements will not appear in the archive in RBC Online Banking.
