Usage

  • Electronic CAD or USD payments destined to Canadian Banks
  • Electronic USD payments destined to USA Banks
  • Canadian $$ Payments destined to USD Accounts will be converted at the customer level
  • Exchange electronic CAD or USD payment details with other Canadian Banks
  • Electronic CAD or USD payments destined to Canadian Banks
  • Electronic USD payments to USA Banks
  • Banks who are processing on behalf of multiple originators
  • Pre-notification on payments to USA Banks
  • Canadian $$ Payments destined to USD Accounts will be converted at the customer level

Notes

  • A mixture of electronic payments destined to Canada & United States can be part of the same file
  • Payments processed on behalf of other banks/FI’s must use RBC ACH File Format for processing payments to the USA
  • Debits & Credits cannot be processed within the same file
  • USD payments and CAD payments can not be part of the same file
  • This format can not be used for payments destined to the United States
  • Debits & Credits cannot be processed within the same file
  • A mixture of electronic payments destined to Canada & United States can be part of the same file
  • All payments in a single batch must be for the same currency
  • Debits & Credits cannot be processed within the same file
