Do I need to correct an Error?

At the time of opening up your profile in our database, you have the option to set up your “T” errors payments to be kept in our system pending correction. Choosing the Retain Errors option for your “T” level errors will save you time and money because you will not need to transmit another input file. You can correct these payments online via RBC Express ACH Payment Manager.

If you have chosen that option, payments not corrected will drop off from our system within 40 calendar days from the date of receipt and reported to you on the Payments Activity Report. Outstanding “T” errors pending correction are also reported to you on the 15th of every month and at month end on the Recap of Payments In Error Report.

If you do not want your “T” errors held for correction, all invalid payments will then be listed on your Input Verification and Edit Report as “R” (rejected) payments. You will have to correct these transactions in your own database and resubmit these payments in another file or online via RBC Express ACH Payment Manager.
