The Black Entrepreneur Program is focused on three key pillars:

Hand with money iconAccess to Capital

Access to the resources needed to start, manage and grow a business is a common barrier faced by all entrepreneurs and even more so for the Black business community.

Through our continued collaboration with Futurpreneur Canada, we are providing financial solutions and mentorship to help young Black entrepreneurs advance their businesses with the Black Entrepreneur Startup program (opens to external site).

Black Canadian business owners and entrepreneurs may also qualify for the Government of Canada’s Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund (opens to external site).

RBC Action Plan Against Systemic Racism

On July 6, 2020, RBC released our Action Plan to address issues of inequity and systemic bias. We will continue to listen and evolve our actions by including training and measures of accountability as part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Speak Up For Inclusion

In 2018, we released the Speak Up for Inclusion video to reignite conversation. People from all walks of life were invited to have an honest discussion about inclusion on camera. This video was followed up with our film “That Little Voice” which challenges the internal dialogues we all have when faced with uncomfortable situations.

RBC Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion Report 2019

The RBC Diversity & Inclusion Report sets out a comprehensive view of our diversity and inclusion priorities, programs and performance that demonstrate our respect for and appreciation of the differences in identity that are fundamental to who we are as members of society.
