Attention: Important Information
The RBC eGift application will be discontinued on June 1st, 2021.
We encourage you to use any remaining balance on your RBC eGift card in full before May 31st, 2021.
If I do not use the outstanding balance on my eGift card in full by June 1st, 2021, how will the remaining funds be reimbursed to me?
- RBC will send you an Interac e-Transfer on June 10th, 2021, using the same email address you used to sign up for the eGift application.
- The Interac e-Transfer will be sent to you from notify@payments.interac.ca
- If you have signed up for Interac e-Transfer Autodeposit, the remaining balance will be automatically deposited into your account.
- If you have not signed up for Interac e-Transfer Autodeposit, you will need to answer a security question before you can access your funds. The Interac e-Transfer link will be active for a period of thirty (30) days.
- The answer to the security question will be in the following format:
The last 4 digits of your RBC eGift card (for example, 1234)
Your RBC eGift card number is available on the RBC eGift card app. Make sure to save it, as you will need that number to access your funds.
What if I have multiple RBC eGift cards with a remaining balance?
A separate Interac e-Transfer will be sent for each one of your RBC eGift cards. The same password format can be used for each Interac e-Transfer you receive.
What should I do if the Interac e-Transfer expires or if I have issues redeeming it?
Don’t worry: your funds do not expire, even if the e-Transfer link does. RBC will send you a second Interac e-Transfer on July 15th, 2021 after the first e-Transfer link expires. To redeem your funds after the 30 day period has passed and the second e-Transfer link expires, please call our contact support at 1-833-263-6688 and we will be able to assist you.
