Royal Credit Line for Students Promotional Offer Terms & Conditions

This Royal Credit Line (RCL) for Students Promotional Offer (the “Promotional Offer”) is available from June 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026 (June 1 and Oct 31 inclusive) (the “Promotional Period”).

The Promotional Offer is available to eligible students who, as of the start of the Promotional Period, do not have a Royal Credit Line with Royal Bank of Canada and who otherwise comply with the terms and conditions (the “Terms”) provided herein.

The Promotional Offer is:

• $325 for eligible students enrolled in a “General Program” or
• $575 for eligible students enrolled in a “Professional Program”, or
• $1,000 for eligible students enrolled in a “Medical or Dental program”

“General Program” means all undergraduate and graduate programs, such as a master’s degree or Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD), excluding Professional Programs. “Professional Program” means professional graduate or specialized health science programs and includes Special and Study Abroad programs. For additional details, visit Student Line of Credit – Professional Studies Benefits – RBC Royal Bank. “Medical or Dental Program” means post-secondary level programs, upon the completion of which, the student will receive a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Please speak with an RBC Credit Advisor to confirm your eligibility for this Promotional Offer and whether your program of study meets the criteria of a General Program, or Professional Program, or Medical or Dental Program as applicable.

To qualify to receive the applicable benefit of this Promotional Offer:

• I. you must either be a student who is enrolled in an eligible General Program, Professional Program, Medical or Dental program as described above.
• II. you must be the primary applicant for an RCL with Royal Bank of Canada.
• III. you must start your RCL application by 11:59pm EST on Oct 31, 2026.
• IV. your application must be approved and activated by 11:59pm EST on Nov 14, 2026.
• V. your Line of Credit Account must be in good standing (for example, your Line of Credit Account must not be in a delinquent status) and open at the time the cash offer is awarded.

Note: as part of your Student RCL application, you may be required to provide proof of your enrolment in an eligible General Program, or Professional Program, or Medical or Dental Program, as applicable.

In addition to any other exclusions described in these Terms, this Promotional Offer is not available in respect of (i) Credit Limit Increases on existing Student RCLs; (ii) Student RCLs that were opened prior to the Promotional Period; (iii) Student RCLs held by individuals who have already completed their studies (as applicable), even if their Student RCL remains open during or after the Promotional Period; (iv) Student RCLs held or opened by individuals enrolled in programs of study other than an eligible general or professional programs or Medical or Dental Program (as described above).

If you qualify to receive the benefit of this Promotional Offer, the amount you qualify to receive, as applicable, will be deposited into your eligible RBC Canadian dollar Personal Banking Account between up to within twelve (12) weeks of your Student RCL activation date (no action required from you). In order to receive the amount for which you have qualified, you must have or open, and maintain in good standing, an active Canadian dollar personal banking account with Royal Bank of Canada. If you do not have such an account as of the date we attempt to deposit the benefit of this Promotional Offer, you will forfeit this amount and be deemed to have not qualified for the Promotional Offer.

Only one Promotional Offer payment per client per activated Student RCL. Promotional Offer and Student RCL applications are subject to Royal Bank of Canada’s standard lending criteria and other applicable restrictions.

RBC Advantage Banking for students allows eligible full-time students to receive a full waiver of the standard Monthly Fee applicable to our RBC Advantage Banking account. Please refer to the section labelled “Rebates, Fee Waivers and Discounts: RBC Advantage Banking for students” in the document entitled “Personal Deposit Accounts (PDA) Disclosures and Agreements(opens in new window)", which provides information specific to the RBC Advantage Banking account to supplement the information provided in the Personal Deposit Accounts Disclosures and Agreements document. You must advise us of your student status at the time of account opening an RBC Advantage Banking for students account and must advise of any changes to your student status thereafter. Proof of enrollment may be requested at our discretion.

To be considered a full-time student, you must attend a primary or secondary school OR be enrolled in a program at the post-secondary level at a college, university or other educational institution (whether in Canada or not). If you are a post-secondary student, you must take at least 60% of the usual course load for the program in which you are enrolled in any particular semester. You must advise us of your student status at the time of account opening and must advise of any changes to your student status thereafter. Proof of enrollment may be requested at our discretion.

You will earn 3 Avion points for every $1.00 in Grocery, Dining, Food Delivery, Rides, Gas, Electric Vehicle Charging, Streaming, and Digital Gaming & Subscriptions Purchases you make on your RBC ION+ Visa credit card at merchants classified by Visa’s “Merchant Category Code” (MCC). Depending on how certain merchants are categorized by Visa’s “Merchant Category Code” (MCC) they may not qualify as an eligible MCC. Eligible MCCs are listed as:

(i) “Grocery Stores and Supermarkets” (MCC 5411), “Eating Places and Restaurants” (MCC 5812), “Drinking Places (Alcoholic Beverages) – Bars, Taverns, Nightclubs, Cocktail Lounges, and Discotheques” (MCC 5813), “Fast Food Restaurants” (MCC 5814), “are “Grocery, Dining, and Food Delivery Purchases”. Government liquor agencies and package stores that sell beer, wine, and liquor do not qualify as part of the “Drinking Places (Alcoholic Beverages) – Bars, Taverns, Nightclubs, Cocktail Lounges, and Discotheques” MCC;

(ii) “Service Stations (With or without Ancillary Services)” (MCC 5541), “Automated Fuel Dispensers” (MCC 5542), “Taxicabs and Limousines” (MCC 4121), “Local and Suburban Commuter Passenger Transportation, Including Ferries” (MCC 4111), “Electric Vehicle Charging” (MCC 5552) are “Rides, Gas & Electric Vehicle Charging Purchases”. Non-commuter passenger railway purchases and non-commuter bus line purchases do not qualify as part of “Rides, Gas & Electric Vehicle Charging Purchases”.

(iii) “Digital Goods Media – Books, Movies, Music” (MCC 5815), “Digital Goods – Games” (MCC 5816), “Digital Goods – Applications (Excludes Games)” (MCC 5817), “Digital Goods – Large Digital Goods Merchants” (MCC 5818), “Cable, Satellite and Other Pay Television/Radio/Streaming Services” (MCC 4899) are “Streaming, Digital Gaming & Subscriptions Purchases”. The “Digital Goods – Games” MCC does not include games of chance and gambling.

You will earn 1 Avion point for every $1.00 on all other purchases (including pre-authorized bill payments) you make on your RBC ION+ Visa credit card.

Even though some merchants may sell Grocery, Dining, Food Delivery, Rides, Gas, Electric Vehicle Charging, Streaming, Digital Gaming & Subscriptions merchandise, purchases made at these locations may not necessarily qualify as Eligible MCCs if the merchant is not classified as such by Visa. Also, you may make a purchase at a merchant that is not classified as an Eligible MCC but is located on the premises of a merchant that is classified as an Eligible MCC, in which case your purchase would not qualify as an Eligible MCC. We cannot guarantee that any merchant, operating in whole or in part as a Grocery, Dining, Food Delivery, Rides, Gas, Electric Vehicle Charging, Streaming, and Digital Gaming & Subscriptions merchant is classified as an Eligible MCC and in no event will we be liable or responsible for any claims with respect to a Grocery, Dining, Food Delivery, Rides, Gas, Electric Vehicle Charging, Streaming, and Digital Gaming & Subscriptions Purchase made at a merchant that is not classified as an Eligible MCC. Avion points are earned on net purchases only; they are not earned on cash advances (balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges that you set up with a merchant), interest charges or fees, and credits for returns and adjustments will reduce or cancel the points earned by the amounts originally charged.

To be considered an eligible student for the purposes of one of the promotional offers described above, you must be enrolled in an eligible program of study at the post-secondary level at a college, university, or other educational institution, as more particularly described in the terms and conditions for the relevant promotional offer. Proof of enrollment may be required. See also notes 1 and 2 (above) for additional details regarding promotional offer eligibility based on programs of study.

This offer only applies to new applications for an RBC ION+ Visa credit card received between June 16, 2026 and Nov 4, 2026 (“Offer Period”) and approved by Royal Bank of Canada (“Royal Bank”), subject to the conditions below. Additional cardholders(s) (co-applicant and authorized user(s)) on the RBC ION+ Visa credit card account, as well as existing cardholders on any RBC Royal Bank personal credit card transferring to an RBC ION+ Visa credit card during the Offer Period, are not eligible for this offer.

7,000 Avion points (“Welcome Points”) will appear on your monthly credit card statement within sixty (60) days after your application has been approved, provided that your RBC ION+ Visa credit card account (“Credit Card Account”) remains open and in good standing at the time the Welcome points are credited to your account, “good standing” meaning that your Credit Card Account must not be past due for more than two (2) consecutive credit card account statement periods, closed, charged off or in credit revoked status.

14,000 additional Avion points (“Additional Points”) will be awarded to you if a total of $1,500 or more (“Qualifying Transaction Amount”) in qualifying net purchases and/or pre-authorized bill payment transactions (“Qualifying Transactions”) are posted to your RBC ION+ Visa credit card account within the first 6 months from the date of your credit card account open date (“Period”), provided your account is open and in good standing at the time the Additional Points are posted to your Credit Card Account, approximately 60 days after you reached the Qualifying Transaction Amount. Qualifying Transactions exclude cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges that you set up with a merchant), interest charges, and fees. Any credits for returns and adjustments that reduce the amount of Qualifying Transactions below $1,500 will cancel your Additional Avion points.

The Qualifying Transaction Amount is based on the transaction posting date of each Qualifying Transaction, not the transaction date. This means that transactions that take place prior to the last day of the Period will not be considered for the Qualifying Transaction Amount if they have not yet been posted or processed by the merchant, the payment network (Visa) or Royal Bank by the last day of the Period.

7,000 additional Avion points (“Anniversary Points”) will appear on your monthly credit card statement within twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks after the one- year anniversary of your Credit Card Account opening, provided that your Credit Card Account remains open and in good standing at the time the Anniversary Points are credited to your account.

If you close or change your RBC ION Visa credit card for another type of RBC Royal Bank credit card before the Welcome Points, the Additional Points and/or the Anniversary Points have been credited to your account, you may lose the benefit of this offer. This offer may not be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer. Royal Bank reserves the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this offer at any time without notice, even after your application has been approved, including if we suspect that you may be manipulating or abusing it, or engaging in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by Royal Bank in its sole discretion. Subject to credit approval. If you are either i) post-secondary student of any age, or ii) a non-student age 24 and under, and an owner or co-owner of an RBC Advantage™ Banking Account for students (“Eligible Student Bank Account”) and the primary cardholder of one of the eligible RBC Royal Bank credit cards listed below (each, an “Eligible Credit Card”), the annual fee of your Eligible Credit Card may be fully rebated, every year. Rebates that apply to eligible credit cards are (listed in order of highest standard annual fee to lowest standard annual fee):

For any other RBC Royal Bank credit card, regular annual fees apply as they are not eligible for a rebate. The annual fee of your Eligible Credit Card will continue to be fully rebated: i) until you close your Eligible Student Bank Account, or ii) until you turn 25 (provided you are no longer a full-time student), or iii) if you are 25 or older, until the Expected Graduation Year you have provided at the opening of your Eligible Student Bank Account. Thereafter, the annual fee will no longer be rebated. If, for some reason, the Expected Graduation Year you have provided at the opening of your Eligible Student Bank Account differs from the one you have indicated on your credit card application, the Expected Graduation Year you have provided at the opening of your Eligible Student Bank Account will prevail and be used for determining the expiry of this offer. If your Expected Graduation Year occurs after your 25th birthday, or you are turning 25 and are still a full-time student but have not yet notified us of your Expected Graduation Date, please visit a branch to ensure continuity of benefits pertaining to your Eligible Student Bank Account (proof of enrollment required). Additional cardholders (co-applicant and authorized user(s)) do not qualify for the annual fee rebate even if they are also owners of an Eligible Student Bank Account. Only one credit card annual fee rebate per Eligible Student Bank Account is allowed. If you already have an Eligible Student Bank Account, the rebate will be applied at the time you open your Eligible Credit Card account. Offer available June 2, 2026- November 2, 2026 (“Promotional Period”)

This Promotional Offer is available to any Eligible Student Client, who is a minimum of 13 years of age and older as of June 2, 2026, without a Personal Banking Account with Royal Bank of Canada at the beginning of the Promotional Period or in the three-year period before the start of the Promotional Period, and who otherwise comply with the Terms of the Promotional offer. The Promotional Offer Reward is AirPods 4 Model #MXP63AM/A with an Eligible Personal Banking Account.

To qualify for the Promotional Offer Reward you must open your first new Eligible Personal Banking Account by 9:00 PM EST on November 2, 2026 and complete two (2) of the following Qualifying Criteria by 9:00 PM EST on January 15, 2027 using your Eligible Personal Banking Account:

i. Register your Eligible Personal Banking Account for Interac Autodeposit and send or receive one (1) e-Transfer using RBC Online Banking or the RBC Mobile app.

ii. Request and obtain an RBC Virtual Visa Debit card and make at least one (1) Qualifying Debit Transaction (as defined in the Note section below) with your Eligible Personal Banking Account.

iii. Transfer the full amount of your automated and recurring payroll direct deposit to your new Eligible Personal Banking Account. For greater certainty, this means that you will not qualify if you split your payroll deposit from one employer between your new Eligible Personal Banking Account and any other account. We reserve the right to determine what is considered payroll and whether any payroll deposit has been split. The first payment of each PAP must be debited and must clear from your new Eligible Personal Banking Account by 9:00 PM Eastern Time January 15, 2027.

iv. Set up one (1) pre-authorized monthly payment (“PAP”) – such as a pre-authorized eligible bill payment to a service provider (i.e. utility bill, gym membership) or pre-authorized payment to an RBC mortgage, loan, Royal Credit Line, or contribution to your RBC investment account – from your new Eligible Personal Banking Account. PLEASE NOTE: Any bill payments (pre-authorized or otherwise) made using a Virtual Visa‡ Debit will not qualify. The first payment of each PAP must be debited and must clear from your new Eligible Personal Banking Account by 9:00 PM Eastern Time January 15, 2027.

v. Make one (1) eligible bill payment to a service provider from your new Eligible Personal Banking Account. PLEASE NOTE: To qualify, the eligible bill payment must be completed through the RBC Mobile app or RBC Online Banking. Excludes any bill payment made in-person at an RBC Royal Bank branch with an RBC Advisor, and any bill payment made to an RBC credit card account, and any bill payment made using RBC Virtual Visa Debit. NOTE: You must be at least 14 years of age to obtain an RBC Virtual Visa Debit card. As such, option ii. (above) of this section is only available to individuals who meet this minimum age requirement; if you are below the age of 14 and participate in this Promotional Offer, you must select one of the other eligible transaction types described.

Starting June 30, 2026, we will notify you – by way of an email sent to the email address you have provided to us – when you have fulfilled the Qualifying Criteria and qualified for the Promotional Offer. This message will be sent at any time up to twenty business days after we have determined that all Qualifying Criteria have been completed by you. The email message will contain a secure link that will permit you to visit a secure online store where you can order your Reward and confirm an address for delivery, as well as any other shipping details.
