The protection included with our cards is new CHIP and Personal Identification Number (PIN) technology. You are provided with enhanced protection against counterfeiting and card fraud with an encrypted microchip embedded in the card that is virtually impossible to replicate.

Optional BalanceProtector^® insurance can be added to your RBC Royal Bank credit card. BalanceProtector^® Max is a low-cost way to make sure your RBC Royal Bank^® credit card balance doesn’t become a burden to you or your family should something unexpected happen.
